Scripture Memorization

Romans 12:2 "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
This is my memory verse for today. I'm trying to memorize Romans 12. Scripture memorization has a way of keeping your mind focused in the right direction. I've memorized whole chapters before and would recommend Romans 8 and James 4 to anyone who wanted to try it. If your looking more at individual verses it's best to find verses that deal with an area that you're struggling with in your own life. If you struggle with boldness memorize II Timothy 1:7 and then walk the walk. Whatever the verse is you need to apply it to your life. The Word of God is a powerful thing and can change your life in a dramatic way.

Youth Camp

August 14th through 19th the youth at Tenstrike Community Church went to Strawberry Lake Christian Retreat for a youth week. Tim Pomp was the speaker and the Holy Spirit was working in the hearts of all present. Over sixty youth and chaperones were there from TCC. Several were baptized in water and many were baptized in the Holy Spirit. It was a powerful week that renewed my spirit and helped me refocus myself to serve Him more completely. It was a blessed time that helped me build relationships with the youth in my church. I'm looking forward to the start of fall classes when we resume wednesday night youth meetings.

Starting Something

I decided that I wanted to start a Blog where I can focus primarily on God's work in the youth at Tenstrike Community Church. We were at a camp near Detroit Lakes, MN this last week and God convicted me to start journaling and get more serious about my relationship with Him. This Blog was something He put on my heart as part of that renewed dedication to Him.
